Enter a date of birth to find the exact age in years, months and days — today or on any date you choose, such as a shoot date or a visa appointment. Nothing you type is sent anywhere; the calculation runs in your browser.
How the age calculator works
The calculator counts full calendar years first, then full calendar months, then the remaining days — the same way age is read on an ID, a passport or a school form. If the birthday has not yet come round in the chosen year, the year count is one lower. Because months are different lengths, a birthday on the 29th, 30th or 31st is taken as the last day of any shorter month, so 31 January to 1 March counts as 1 month and 1 day.
Total days are counted exactly between the two dates, including leap days. Total hours are total days × 24 and ignore the time of birth, so treat them as approximate. Dates are shown in the DD-MM-YYYY format used in India, and the result uses the date on your own device, so it is correct for your time zone.
What you can use it for
- Exact age today for forms, applications and registrations that ask for age in completed years
- Age on a future date — a shoot, an exam, a visa interview, a joining date or a retirement date
- Checking whether someone is a minor or an adult on a given date
- Days until the next birthday and the weekday someone was born on
- Age in total months, weeks, days and hours for milestones and anniversaries
Frequently asked questions
How is age calculated in years, months and days?
Full calendar years are counted first (the year count increases only once the birthday has passed), then full calendar months since the last birthday, then the days remaining. This matches how age is stated on official documents.
Why does my age in months and days differ between calculators?
Some tools count a month as 30 days or 30.44 days; this calculator uses real calendar months, so the result follows the actual dates. The year count is the same on every correct calculator.
What happens if I was born on 29 February?
In a non-leap year the birthday is taken as 28 February, so the year count goes up on 28 February and the next-birthday countdown points to 28 February or, in a leap year, 29 February.
Can I calculate age on a past or future date?
Yes. Change the "Age on" date to any date on or after the date of birth. This is useful for checking age at a shoot, an exam, a visa appointment or a joining date.
Is my date of birth stored?
No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to ZJELL Models or anyone else.
Why does ZJELL Models have an age calculator?
Models under 18 join ZJELL Models through a parent or guardian account, and clients often need age on a specific shoot date. The calculator helps both — but anyone is welcome to use it.
