This policy explains what personal data ZJELL Models collects, why, who sees it and what your rights are. The data fiduciary / data user is ZJELL Limited, Hong Kong (“ZJELL”). Contact for all privacy matters, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance: cs@zjell.com.
1. What we collect
- Models: name and display name, email, mobile/WhatsApp number, date of birth (used only to compute an age band; never displayed), city and nationality, physical measurements and look attributes, experience, languages, social handles, photos, videos, comp card, availability and indicative rates (never displayed), and for minors the guardian’s name and contact.
- Clients: name, email, phone, company, assignment location, dates and brief submitted with a booking request, plus verification details.
- Everyone: account credentials, device and usage data through cookies and analytics (Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation), and messages you send us.
2. Why, and on what basis
- To publish the portfolio you ask us to publish, at the visibility you choose — with your consent, which you can withdraw
- To forward booking enquiries and connect vetted clients with models — to provide the service you requested
- To verify identity and vet clients — to keep models safe and prevent misuse (legitimate purpose; identity documents are viewed, not stored)
- To run, secure and improve the website — legitimate purpose
- To comply with law and respond to lawful requests
3. Who sees your data
- Public portfolio: anyone on the internet, including search engines and AI crawlers, sees the portfolio content. Your contact details, date of birth, rates and guardian details are never shown.
- Private portfolio: the same content, but only to registered clients vetted by ZJELL, to you and to ZJELL administrators. It is kept out of directories, search results, sitemaps, feeds and link previews. A media file can still be opened by anyone who already holds its direct link.
- Clients: receive a model’s contact details only after vetting and after the model accepts the enquiry. Models receive the client’s details at the same point.
- Service providers: hosting (Hostinger, servers in the EU/Asia), email (Google Workspace), analytics (Google), form and CRM tools, all bound by their own data-processing terms.
- Authorities where the law requires.
We do not sell personal data.
4. International transfers
ZJELL is based in Hong Kong and uses providers in India, the EU, Singapore and the United States. Your data may therefore be stored and processed outside your country. By registering you consent to this transfer; we apply the safeguards required by the DPDP Act and the PDPO.
5. Retention
Portfolio data is kept while your portfolio is live and for 90 days after you close it, then deleted except where we must keep a record for legal reasons. Booking enquiries are kept for 24 months. Verification calls are not recorded and identity documents are not stored.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct, download or delete your data, withdraw consent, change your portfolio’s visibility, and complain. Most of this you can do yourself from Manage Portfolio; for anything else email cs@zjell.com. We respond within 30 days. If you are in India you may also nominate a person to exercise these rights for you, and you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India; in Hong Kong, to the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.
7. Children
We publish portfolios of models under 18 only through a guardian account, with the guardian’s verifiable consent, and we do not allow direct messaging to minors or use their data for tracking or targeted advertising.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for login and security, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) to understand how the website is used. You can block analytics cookies in your browser without affecting the service.
9. Changes
We will post any change here and, for material changes, notify registered users by email.
